Description

This is a single track of a quartz crystal didjeridu I designed, recorded in the Super Audio format.

What is Super Audio?

Super Audio CD (SA-CD), also known as DSD or direct stream digital, is a CD with two layers. The first Those who buy hybrid SA-CDs and do not yet have a player with the SA-CD-feature, can play them on a traditional CD-player.  Increasingly, Blu-ray players and music servers can decode the format.

For standard CDs, music is digitized 44.1 thousand times per second, producing 16-bit samples. In contrast, DSD uses pulse density modulation (PDM) to encode 2,822,400 1-bit samples per second (64 times the number of samples per second than a CD). Compared to CD, DSD boosts frequency response from 20 kHz to 100 kHz and dynamic range from 96 to 120 db, reproducing a sound that is almost like a live experience.  The feeling state of such recordings is hard to match.
