Due to the changing times we live in, physical CDs are less in production and consumption. The challenge with digital downloads, however, is that they often compromise sound quality for convenience. Our brain needs to put out more energy to compensate for the missing information that is not included in compressed files such as mp3s– although they are much smaller, easier, and faster to download.
As a sound lover, I attempt to preserve the highest sound quality in the recording and production of music.
Gaearth Dreaming was produced as both an audio CD and audio DVD, to allow for the highest sample rates available (aside from SACD– see Color of Sound CD). The DVD content is created in the same high resolution sample rate as it was recorded in. This is unusual, because all CDs that we buy are compressed to nearly 1/4 of the original sample rate to fit on a CD medium (24,000 Hz). Audio DVDs are extremely rare– I only found one CD printer in the US that could print audio DVDs. They are much more expensive to produce, but vastly higher sound quality.
Gaearth Dreaming contains both a CD and an audio DVD, which has a 5-channel surround sound mix (which involves a whole separate mixing process), as well as a stereo mix, with a high resolution sample rate (96,000 Hz).
Because we are, as a society, tending more toward digital, I have extra stock of this CD/DVD that I would like to offer at a discounted rate– the cost of production. Instead of $14.99 for the 2 disc set, I am offering Gaearth Dreaming for $4.99.
The CD set also contains a 22-page booklet explaining much about sound therapy, the 432 tuning that I used, and it’s occurrence in sacred sites around the world… and much more.
I am also offering the channeled piece “The One” as a free download– this piece in particular felt like it was meant to go to whomever might receive it’s message, free of charge.
All is printed on recycled paper with eco-friendly soy ink.
